As of five minutes ago, the city bus strike is officially a reality. It has cost me more to set up the ability to work from home than I spend for a full-year pass (not to mention all the grey hairs from getting all the VPN stuff working - what a mess of hoops).

I don't have a bus strike, but I am working from home; and setting up the VPN has been a choir and a half.

I wouldn't mind too much, except the data involved has all the sensitivity and commercial value of last month's TV guide.

My data has little value either - none at all if business gossip columns are right. Still, it's all practice for the next job.
