There's still a good chance that the US Congress will change its mind and get the votes in a few days. But it's not a certainty. If they don't, it will put a lot of the doom and gloom talk to the test. Are we really facing a meltdown of our entire financial system or are we facing a menace of shadows and smoke? Time will tell.
