Anticipation
Today, I was in charge of a patient who understood only Teochew. She rarely speaks at the home, but this time, took the effort to thank me in Mandarin. I spoke in Teochew and she smiled.
Beyond happy, really.
I've never seen my paternal granny. She's Teochew and somehow conversing with my patient really reminded me of Gran :( all I know bout Gran's from Daddy's memories.
