It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Found this entry on snowmores journal while I was looking for some more LuRe smile icons to remember the happy days of the boys. Wow, I didn't know it were 6 (!) young men that died because of a society that doesn't accept people the way they are. This made me very sad and angry!
I mean, common' you will not see what happens in my bedroom and in most of the bedrooms of almost all ppl in the world, so why the hell do you care at all to make that a difference so important that ppl don't want to live anymore. I will never get it! Never!
I hope I will see the day, when your sexual orientation does not keep you from being happy and accepted as an important member of society and when daytime gay couples don't get gay-bashed or slaugthered or hit by some STUPID TRAIN coming all the way from PANAMA in SLOWMOTION!!!!
And live happily ever after, adopt children, marry if they want to and by that actually liberating and encouraging everyone to be her/his true self and to fulfill her/his dreams.
