I love marc broussard. his voice is so calming, and his lyrics are so beautiful. I am too obsessed with his album [momentary setback] + where you are right now. I've been listening to it over and over the whole day and i haven't yet gotten tired of it.
Marc Broussard - French Cafe
Friendly people
But I can't make out all the words
Melodies so sweet through all the trees
From different birds
All around me
Sights and sounds and songs I've never heard
Swearing I'll be back again
One more week might do me in
And I stop to catch my breath
On the slippery steps of Angouleme
And with my little finger
Across the town I write your name
I can't stop drinking the wine
Can't stop counting the days
A world apart, an ocean away
Just loving you baby
Sittin' here, loving you
From this little French cafe
Oh, yeah
Turn the bed down, baby
Pray that jumbo plane's gonna bring me back
Got roses and bazaracs
Six Bordeauxs all in a sack
We may know some scrapes
But some things we won't ever lack
All the fields of Beaujolais
Couldn't buy you anyway
Couldn't buy you babe
Oh
And I stop to catch my breath
On the mighty steps of Angouleme
And with my little finger
Across the town I write your name
I can't stop drinking the wine
I can't stop counting the days
A world apart, an ocean away
Just loving you baby
Sittin' here, loving you
From this little French
All the oysters in Marennes
Whole French army and Charles de Gaulle
A million Francs wouldn't phase me at all
From loving you baby
Sittin' here loving you
From this little French cafe
Sittin' here loving you
From this little French cafe
recommended: enjoy these pics while listening to the song.these are just some french couple pictures i found on the net, that reminded me of some specific things at Paris.
to start off with this one. there were thousands of couples on different bridges in paris.
couple along the Seine river. During our boat trip, we saw hundreds of couples at night just sitting and dancing along the river. oooh, and the creepy man who made out with his girlfriend while looking at us the whole time. ewwww.
i don't know why but this reminds me so much of a couple we saw before our boatride and they were leaning against a lamp post.
i remember these benches that were placed in different gardens.
couple under trees. i remember those random metal chairs, and this reminds me of the place where tasha and i sat eating fries beside the louvre while waiting for the others.
there were so many couples like this during our trip. just relaxing on benches beside monuments.
this is a funny picture, cuz if you look closely you can see raindrops on a window that is dividing the couple apart. but it's adorable. and the lamp post is exactly like the one tash and i took a picture on.
couple overlooking the view of notre dame, the river, and a few other buildings. seems like one of the bridges we walked on too, taking just too many pics.
this pic is obviously sooo staged, but it still depicts the ordinary day and common vision of Paris.
this is personally one of my favorite ones. it's a wet rainy day so the whole mood is dark, but you can just feel the love that this couple is exuding; their passion, their desperation. it's got a great angle too lol.
this final picture. i love it so much; the picture, amidst its simplicity still underlines the whole idea of love. I remember when aria carved her name on one of the trees we were walking past. all these pictures rejuvinate me, redressing all my doubts about love, passion and that it really does exist awaiting us. Love truly is everywhere and even just through these pictures there is enough warmth of love to go around all of us.
-there was a night when i thought soley about you-- what am i doing? i guess i've started to really really like you.
