hello again, my sunshine in the rain
Being nostalgic over Swedish 90's pop. For one thing it was AWESOME, despite the horrible videos and terrible fashion sense, and also, I kind of miss how engaged I was in the whole music scene back then. I knew every single released by every little band (Swedish and foreign), bought every music magazine there ever was and read and memorised EVERYTHING, went to gigs all the time, bought enough cds to keep the quiet away for years.
If my life wasn't eaten by work and fandom, maybe I would try that out again. It was fun.
But for now: a crash course in The Wannadies, one of the most underrated bands of Swedish indie-fame. Adorable, sweet and fun, but with a kick and a slight twist of Swedish melancholy. If you want any of the songs, just wave discretely in comments.
