the Sandy-doll is finished

The hair on this doll is massive. It's two full skeins of Cotton Viscose and it took a whole evening to thread and tie the knots of every single thread (all done separately). Thanks to glookie for helping me cut the lengths! It's kind of therapeutic to sit and comb through it with your fingers and make it into different hairstyles. *is 5*

The dress is sort of inspired by this dress. The white top is crocheted as part of the body, the puffy sleeves of the shirt are done separately and then attached to the arms and the little collar is stitched on to the top of the body. The black top is crocheted and kind of moulded on to the torso and the skirt is knitted into a bell shape and then attached to the top so that they make a one piece dress.

She got to borrow the bunny ear hair clips I bought for myself the other day. They kind of fit her better.

I might add heels to the shoes at some point, but right now I'm just glad to be done with them because the were a pain in the ass to make.
