my damn sign language class was canceled. which is usually a good thing, we like canceled classes, but i actually got up for that class! and it wouldn't have even mattered if i really went anyway! we're starting our song presentations today and i'm sure there would be no attendance taken because there hasn't been forever!!!! and i was considering staying in bed, it was sssssooooooo nice but i decided to be good and get up, shower, eat and go to class but there was no damn class! bbboooooo!!! so then i walked all the way back to the dorm to wait for an hour before i have to head to anthropology. which the only reason i'm going there is to get my test back, b/c we're allowed 6 absences in that class! 6!!! so i'll be pissed if i don't get my test back. by the way we're awaiting a huge snow storm here in the poconos. but either way i know i'll have basic drawing w/ mitchel b/c that woman is a dinosaur and never ever ever misses a class. i must bring a piece of fabric and piece of fruit to draw today...and i already bought my crappy apple from the union...

i turned 22 last thursday! eeeeee!!! i'm oooolllllldddddd!!!! i'm a good ways into being a twenty-something, that's crazy! i'm sure i'll look 16 for a nice long time still though. so after midnight on wednesday my roomie gave me my birthday present. it was a theme gift! i got a chinese tea set w/ two lil cups and a tea pot, green tea, real chopsticks, a box of fortune cookies and a cute lil cloudy leopard beanie baby in a lil bitty hat box! the next morning mike gave me my gift which was a beautiful beautiful smokey topaz and gold pendant and a big cloudy leopard stuffed animal that is the fuzziest most adorable critter ever. so now i'm starting a cloudy leopard reservation, no, they did not plan it. i watched growing up cloudy leopard on animal planet and have been asking for one ever since, so now i have two and i heart them.
through out the day i got lots of other thoughtful gifts from everyone. kristen got me a girls night out drinking game set and a set of boys are smelly lip gloss in an underwear shaped zipper case, diana got me a gift card to pacsun, gina got me fun socks and lots and lots of chocolate, danielle gave me a cute lil star picture frame and more chocolate, kate gave me a fun tub and bubble bath set with some sparkley make up, lip glosses and nail polishes and tara gave me the coolest martini glass ever that is hand painted to look like it's wearing a bikini on the beah (it's part of a whole set) with a drink recipe on the bottom. my momma sent me flowers the day before too which have been smelling lovely.
that night i just hung out with mike all night. we went to wawa to buy yummy treats and came back to watch a movie. it snowed all thursday afternoon anyway so it was pretty crappy driving so it didn't bother me to stay in and be cozy. friday night eeevvveeerrryyybbbboooddddyyy (me, mike, tara, joanna, diana, kristen, harold, jackie and lauren) went out to the pocono brewing company for my birthday dinner. jo, tara and i ordered crazy irish drinks and everyone had a yummy meal. i'm pretty sure everyone had a good time which is important to me, it'll be very memorable, how can it not be when your boyfriend almost sets your roommate on fire? i will tell that story for years to come.
i have to wrap this up now cause i hafta run back to stroud for anthro, but my birthday festivities continued back in the room with joanna, mike, diana and i. we had drinkies and watched wedding singer, sort of, and i have not laughed that hard in a long time. it was so fun. so thank you to everyone for my wonderful gifts and all the birthday wishes! i'm off to class now and hopefully i won't be caught walking in the snow anywhere today! (it can start when i get out and cancel everything for tomorrow! moo ha ha!
