(no subject)
the one and only thing i will say about last night: are you fucking kidding me?!
anything more would sound bitchy and snobby considering "[i'm] at least going to state" and it's not fair to be upset with 2nd place. but seriously.......nicole green? miss "i have lousy diction and crooked visuals and am just way too over-the-top so that it doesn't even sound like informative....or a speech"? i might have been okay if i had been beaten by maybe peter......and i'd be closer to okay if it was nicola....and peter's not even good and i'm saying that. but nicole.....and that she got a 1-100? even if a judge was dilusional enough to give her a 1 it was definitely no better that a 1-98. (i got a 1-100 too though so ha). and i kind of wish i'd known that prelims counted toward the final score....i didn't take tham too seriously (because i didn't think i had to). and it was my last chance so i will never have a 1st place section medal (even though i think i deserved one more than she did)
okay i wasn't going to write that much about it but whatever. hopefully the judges at state will know what they're doing. (if i have howard vallaincourt for a third year in a row i will scream. his handwriting's impossible and he gave "what does your car say about you?" a 1 in that round)
seriously...it's on. if i didn't get to win sections i will win state. time to back to my old obsessive speech self and practice every day until i have a 100% flawless run-through. it's the only way.
okay enough speech talk. scholarships. does anyone have a copy of the list of scholarship qualifications for the STA scholarships? i lost mine and need to know which ones only require the general application so i can circle them...
so it's pretty much unofficially official that i'm going to st. mary's next year....and i'm pretty excited.....55 days until graduation! eeeek! oh....and kelli....i'm sure you're reading this....you should help me decide on dorm preferences :) (since you know about them and all)
ugh.....i hate this weekend.
to do:
-a whole ap bio lab that was due yesterday
-a whole chapter of ap bio to read for the quiz i missed yesterday
-look over twl words for ap bio
(i HATE ap bio)
-STA scholarship applications due monday
-linguistics reading and a written reaction due monday
ummm.....
-ap psych review project due monday instead of tuesday......which means i need to get a hold of mina steph and jenny...
i think that's it. besides practicing my ass off. good thing there's only 1 week until state
and because it's definitely worth noting......
countdowns:
-33 school days left (leaving out weekends, state, memorial day, but including AP test days).....ap psych and ap bio that is...and that includes the last day that is basically just senior awards stuff
-11 days of spanish, plus a 15 minute interview and a final the week after
-12 days of linguistics.....with a termpaper due the next week
-55 DAYS UNTIL GRADUATION
-6 days until state....aka until my life can go back to normal
-28 days until prom (i still can't seem to get over than blue dress)
-48 days until seniors' last day of high school
-63 days until my grad party
-22 days until my performance at the festival of nations....on the day that NOBODY comes....did i ever tell that story? and how i'm annoyed with my cousin?
-13 days until i [potentially] have to start sharing the car [if kaja passes her driving test]
oh report cards are finally up. though i already knew i had an A and a C. haha my 3rd quarter GPA is 3.0--and i'm laughing. i've managed to bring my overall GPA down to a 3.885 this year. well yay me. ha...and mr terry put in the "keep up the good work" note.
