Thanks so much. I admit, I was thinking of the scene with Kirill and the little girl when I wrote this. I actually thought at first she might be his daughter as well through since then I've re-watched the film a couple times and looked over the script and on second consideration I don't think Kirill is married or has children. Somehow I don't think his sexuality would be such an issue for his father if he at least had the trapping of heterosexuality.

Kirill had no respect... No respect for anything but what could beat him down.
Anyways, I like how you explored Nikolai's darker and more heartless side, his ulterior motives and the way he just toys with Kirill here...
This line also resonated with me:
“He’s my father,” Kirill said with a half smile. “I have to show him respect.”
It really reminds me of that scene when he was blowing up the balloons and talking with the young girl (was it his daughter?).
