Thank you so much, I'm really happy to get a response to this story. I loved Eastern Promises and I'm fasinated by the whole dynamic between Kirill and Nikolai. There's something about lies, manipulation and double lives that never fails to draw me in.

That scene made an impression on me as well, it was really the first time I had a sense of Kirill really being emotionally fragile and not just a complete asshole. I actually wondered if that girl was his daughter.

I love this. I think it's wonderful. I'm counting my blessings that I decided to check rareslash before giving up on finding any EP fic. I'm also counting my blessings that the fic I found turned out to be so good!

I would never have thought of this but the way you get inside Nikolai's head is superb.

I don't think I can overstate that actually. I was thinking about the Nikolai/Kirill dynamic all the way home from the movie and you've nailed it so utterly and completely.

Thank you so much, I'm really pleased to know you liked it. I'm also pleased you remembered my Prison Break stories, season one of Prison Break was my first foray into writing fan fiction. I never watched any of season 2 but apparently they killed Abruzzi off, which is kind of a shame. I loved the T-bag/Abruzzi dynamic-- slit throat, severed hand and all.

Thank you for this wonderful fic! I now see that I am not the only one as nuts as that about this film!
After the film I simply guessed that people would jump on the open ending.
I didn't. I didn't even see the film when I began writing my own...
