Dear Yuletide Author,
First of all, thank you for writing for me! I'm not sure you'll get to see this because, well, I wrote the URL slightly wrong. But just in case you are, thank you so much for doing this. I'm not hard to please *hopes*! I like any sort of fic that's subtle, makes me think and leaves some sort of an impact on me after reading.
1. How I Met Your Mother (Barney Stinson)
I find him fascinating. Not only do I think that NPH is a great actor, but Barney as a character is amazing because of the numerous layers that he has. I find it extremely intimidating to explore Barney's character and go in-depth to the real person beyond all the levels of awesomeness. You could write anything about Barney and it would make my day!
2. Castle (Kate Beckett)
Kate is a complicated character. I think that the angle I would most like to see is the Beckett/Sorenson angle. The few scenes they had together left me craving for any sort of backstory on them. I could just feel their history, you know? I would love it you explore anything related to that.
3. The Big Bang Theory (Sheldon Cooper)
Sheldon is, well, one of the most endearing characters I have ever seen. On one level, he's so indifferent to everything but there are flashes we can see of him as a person (like how he doesn't like people fighting). I would really like a fic that explores Sheldon's vulnerability and humor together, so to say.
4. All Quiet on the Western Front (Paul Baumer)
"Words, words, words-they do not reach me'. This quote, right here, is the reason why I love the character so much. It's... impossible for me to describe him at all. Just reading the book and his parts give me goosebumps. Anything Baumer-related would be wonderful!
But, at the end of the day, you decide what you want to write and I'm extremely excited to see what you've come up with!
