I got one. It rocks. A friend of mine works at a Gamestop nearby and held one for me. Karina and I had a coup el of friends over on Sunday and we ended up spending something like four hours just playing Wii Sports. the game that comes with the system. I also picked up the new Legend of Zelda game, but, honestly, as much fun as it is, I think I' ( Read more... )

If there are a lot of wireless networks in your neighborhood, you might try changing the channel your router uses. I had some touchiness from my Wii at first, but it turned out there’s more interference around my house these days than there was when I first got wifi.

That's the weird thing. It downloads updates fine, but it just cannot connect to the page where I need to agree to the User Agreement for WiiShop or Connect24. But I might try changing the channel to see if it helps.

Cool, glad you like it. I'd probably be more upset that I can't find one if there were any games out for it yet that I really, really wanted.

I'm just having trouble keeping interest in games lately. I waited for Neverwinter 2 forever, but can't really get into it. Same with Gears of War. We mostly play Guitar Hero 2 and Lego Star Wars 2 for co-op, and Viva Pinata for solo. Don't plan to buy anything else for a while.

Yeah, I couldn't get into NWN2, either. It's just either too easy, or if set on Hardcore mode, you have to turn off the AI on the party members and control them manually, which is just tedious.

I played a little bit of GoW when a friend brought it over and meh. It's okay. I honestly have played through maybe 6 or 7 songs on Guitar Hero, and that's about it. I just don't have as much time for games anymore. I like that the Wii, and especially Wii Sports, gives me something vaguely active to do, and that I can pick it up and put it down in 15 minute runs: no console intro screen, no long boot up time, etc.
