51st State played like at 2:30 exactly and no one was there. They were pretty bad too. But, oh well. Then Us-vs-Them was supposed to play, but their drummer wasn't gunna make it on time. So they asked The Shamcocks to play and switch set times. So The Shamcocks went on and they were madd good. Then Life Line Failed hopped on stage and they sounded good. Then the boys of Us-vs-Them went on and tore up the place with an amazing set. They were fucking awesome! Madd props to Devin and his crew for the great fucking set. Then it was time for our set.
We start to setup and we realize Moshe's amp is to small. Then we find out my guitar is giving off maaadddddd feedback and sounding like shit. Then, the mics aren't loud enough and you could barely hear me. But even with all these stupid technical difficulties, we play, and we play with all our fucking hearts and energy.
We threw down all we had:
BitterCold Heart (The Intro)
Lone Wolf
Which Way To Freedom
Leaving Home
Deanne The Arsonist (Atreyu Cover)
Everyone there saw that we had potential and saw that we were working with what we could. Everyone there fucking supported us and helped us out during the set. The crowd was right behind us the whole fucking time and it felt fucking great. Everyone told us that the first 2 songs weren't that good but after that, the 3rd and 4th songs were pretty good. But when we played that Atreyu cover....
HOLYYYYY SHIT....
The crowd went NUTZ! The pit was INSANE!!!!! MAAAADDD kids jumped in and everyone there loved it. I invited Andrew to sing with me cause he was the original singer and I wanted him to have part in this. We fucking went ALL OUT. That last song really showed them that we had potential and talent and that we could be a fucking awesome band with more work and better equipment.
After our set, we all got mad props for going out there and doing our best. We all got mad tips and support from the crowd and we got a crazy amount of positive feedback about the whole thing and how we could improve and such. People really saw that we had something going for us as long as we worked for it and practiced.
Then after our set was done, IAFC went on. They were fucking great! Oh man, everyone went CRAZY for them. Fucking AWESOME set with an INSANE pit. It was GREAT!
All in all tonight was a fucking BLAST! I jumped in the pit mad times for Us-vs-Them and IAFC. During, I think, Us-vs-Them, I KO'd Marina in the pit with a kick to the face. I felt sooooo bad about that. I didn't see her and I didn't realize who I hit till wayyy after the show was done. And during IAFC, Andrew got a bloody nose from a kick to the face and his dad just took him to the hospital about 10 minutes ago. Also, I accidently knocked Marty right in the mouth with a back spin kick causing him to go to the hospital, get 5 stitches on the gash I made, and now he can't talk or eat for a day or two. It was THAT insane. And I was a major contributor to the crazy pit.
Tonight was fucking great and I will never forget it.
Thank you to all the bands that played (51st State - The Shamcocks - Life Line Failed - Us-vs-Them - IAFC), thanx to IAFC for letting us use their equipment, thanx to everyone that showed up and came to support us, thanx to all those that gave us mad feedback and help, and a special thanx to Andrew, for coming back to BitterCold Heart as co-vocalist along side me and the rest of the boys.
Just wait till our next show April 24th.
You will all see a new and fully improved 'BitterCold Heart'.
Just
fucking
wait.......
