The first time, she miscarried three days after finding out she was pregnant. She had told everyone about it. She was excited beyond words. She was ecstatic over the idea that she would soon be a mother. And then it was all just ripped away from her.
This time, it was a difficult pregnancy. She was already several months pregnant, and the doctor's diagnosed her baby with down syndrome. A month ago, she found out the baby's lungs weren't developing as they should have been.
A week ago, she went in for a checkup. The baby had no heartbeat. They took my cousin to the hospital and induced labor, because the baby was already gone and there was nothing that could be done.
She was in labor for two days. To deliver a baby she would only have to bury.
