A case of the Mondays
Mondays at work tend to be bad days. The combination of returning to Cubicle City after a weekend to face 40+ hours of computer screens and phone calls results in the crystallization of a mass of vague, creeping discontent. This mass drifts around the office, leaving those it touches drained of energy and wondering where exactly the time has gone. The only cure seems to be the end of the day.
In more cheerful work related news, I played God with the fates (or resumes) of potential interns today! Well, as far as their aspirations to work in our agency goes, which does limit the scope of my awe-inspiring power. It was an interesting experience. Wrapping my head around the notion that I can help select candidates for anything takes some doing.
