True love? Part of me still cringes every time I admit it, but yes, I do. I don't believe in the fairy-tale, prince (or financier) ,sweep you off your feet, serenade you and somehow turn your life into romantic comedy sort of love. I believe in the sort that we don't see on TV - the ordinary sort where lame jokes are told to coax reluctant smiles, shirtsleeves and sweaty tshirts and proffered when there's a tissue shortage, and romantic dinners are invariably pasta dishes because its all you can cook. This is love that sees the imperfect skin, the annoying quirks. the crazy family, but still wraps you in understanding and affection because the flaws are part of the whole. And I also believe too many people pass on this sort of love because its boring, but that's another matter entirely.
Love at first sight? No. But then again, I'm as blind as the proverbial bat.
