Apologies to those who wanted the Advent Calendar, but it seems that this option will be more accommodating to everyone's busy end-of-year schedule. I hope you'll still be interested in participating, as morena238 and I will make every effort to ensure that this experience is enjoyable for everyone ♥
Those who are familiar with previous exchange fests may want to take note that some new changes will apply to this round. Follow the cut for details:
Unlike previous exchanges, the posting for Secret Santa 2011 will NOT be conducted anonymously. Instead of having the Mod Bot do the posting, participants will post their own entries. This means:
☞ When you receive your assignment, you will be given a posting date. The posting period will probably begin just before Christmas and last throughout the last week of December.
☞ On your assigned posting date, you will post your gift to the community yourself. Pretty straightforward, but a general guide will be provided closer to the date just in case anyone needs assistance.
There will be no minimum word count or any such requirements for this exchange (are there ever any?). It is entirely up to you to decide how far you want to go with your gift. Be it art or fic or fst, short simple pieces are generally encouraged, to ensure that everyone keeps up with their commitment. For reference, take a look at the entries for the 2011 Secret Valentine Exchange and the 2010 Advent Calendar.

☞ Your email address. If you prefer to be contacted via LJ messaging or some other method, just put that down instead. Comments are screened, the only person who will see them is me - and you do trust me, y/y?
☞ Up to THREE optional prompts. You can make them as vague or as detailed as you want, but remember that your Santa is not required to use your prompts. This option is here only because I know some of us have trouble getting inspired on short notice >.>
