OK, as it wasn't all a terrible dream I suppose I should find something positive to think about.
So:
The local election results weren't so bad. At least I might not be out of a job before Xmas (OK that is not entirely a good thing).
Despite having the cards stacked in their favour, with all the power of Murdoch behind them and Gordon Brown's unpopularity and despite millions of pounds in donations, they still couldn't get an overall majority. So much for their slimy new leader!
From now on I can blame everything I don't like from bad weather to rubbish TV on the government.
When other people complain about politics I can be smug about not having voted for the evil overlords.
Best of all the Tories being in power means that at some point on the future I can watch them lose a general election again!
Other Good Things:
This kid is cool! Personally I think he teacher is a spoilsport.
And also
this. I was particularly impressed by this bit "Last month the party's publicity director, Mark Collett, who was considered a Griffin loyalist, was arrested on suspicion of threatening to kill the party leader". Wow, and do you think they realise that political back-stabbing is not usually taken so literally?
