Assistance needed

Good Morning!! I am having some difficulty with my computer at work and need a helping hand, please. I purchased a Microsoft keyboard which comes with a CD to install the software. I had to force the CD drawer open, it lights up, but will not run the Software. I have tried going to the Start menu and Run, typing in drive:setup and receive the message: Can't find the drive setup or one of its components. I have gone to Windows Explorer, checked and there is a CDROM folder there.

I have not had a problem running a CD before... why now???
