4th Sep and celebrating Carol's birthday
I realised there are a number of people I know whose birthday falls on 4th September. My niece Sheneice is one of them and amongst friends, my ex-colleague Carol, my TTT friend Vicky, my Secondary schoolmate Karen and the twins in the FWB group! Gosh, it must have been a very good day for babies to be birthed. :D
We celebrated dear Carol's birthday this week and she chose Pasta Belle at Robertson Quay. It was quite a good choice. The restaurant is not too rowdy and food is fine although I could not really recall any outstanding dish. But I do find the kale salad a bit too sharp, probably from the exuberant use of vinegar in the dressing? The wait staff were very accommodating and even helped plate the mooncakes I bought even though one is of durian favour.

Always happy to catch up with my ex-colleagues. I used to miss the working life in the bank but lately, I guess I am more realistic since there's no way I could get back to what I used to do. I guess the longer one leave the workforce, the harder it is to get back in. I am not sure if i will be able to work in a job that interest me but I guess I should just enjoy not having to work now.
