I totally understand how hard it is to learn how to let go of your kids - I still can't! But good on you for taking some time off for yourself - maybe one day I will summon enough courage to do the same too :)

I fully understand what you mean, but after a girls' trip out once, I realised that a happy mommy is a good mommy. Not that I am encouraging you to go often, but a trip once in a while is really good for the soul. My last girls' trip was in 2007... I still reminisce it and hope to have one again soon!!

You do feel guilty too? I know it's silly and even though I still go out often with my girl friends and ex-colleagues, every time I leave them, I feel a bit guilty and I wonder what is wrong with me? Arrrrrgh!
