One long assumption about Tyki's origins that will eventually be made totally noncanon. ♥

His life was a long gray line, from his earliest memories to his eventual death. )

That was ... wow.

I've started playing Tyki in a couple places recently, and this is an insight into him I'd only gleaned a little bit in poking around. It gives him a hesitancy and a weird humanity that I wish I'd seen before. That nothing would stand out for him or be even remarkable until the day he got his stigmata is horrible and intense and awesome. It gives his hedonism a new spin - gives him a reason to be so deeply into everything.

The bit where you described him as being almost afraid of looking at the women, for fear of what would happen if he did, was one of my particularly favorite bits, along with the part where he had nothing to say about them at the beginning.

Once I get back home (on a very brief vacation-thing right now), I'm definitely bookmarking this and showing it to my DGM buddies. I'm terrible with comments, but this was awesome and intense and I loved it, every last bit.

And, because I can't edit my comments, one more note - the last line is heartbreaking. No wonder they call him hesitant, especially to use his black side.

This is a wonderful way of looking at things, I love it. I always like seeing different angles and possibilities to characters -- and who cares if it eventually turns out not to be canon, it's delightful all the same. No matter what's ultimately canon, after all, the more exploration of characters we have the better, I believe.

I absolutely love this take on how the Noahs are affected by their powers before they awaken. dflkgjdl. It's so perfect, down to Tyki's fear of not feeling anything, more than he's ever cared about "God or the Devil". X3

And I especially love the idea that finally being able to take pleasure in the world around him still only makes him hesitate to destroy it for an instant. Now there's pleasure in everything, even the destroying, and the Noah are all so casually, ruthlessly amoral that he doesn't have anything tangibly against destroying the world -- before or after feeling in it.
