'This Is It' - A Celebration of A Pure Genius

Oct 30, 2009 18:57

It's truly a bittersweet experience, watching 'This Is It'.

This man is a fucking genius.

Just, a pure, bona-fide genius.

Being able to watch him craft this masterpiece.... just amazing. You come out of watching this movie wanting so much more. So, so much more of him, watching him craft his genius.

Even though we'll never see the completed production - one can't deny, just can't deny he's not a genius - not the best entertainer in the world. Just taking these 3 main things, if you had to narrow it down, into account:
  • - You watch the dancers and then you watch Michael - he outshines the young back up dancers by light-years. He's just so effortless with how he moves. It's more of them trying to keep up with Michael - and always falling short.
  • - Throughout the movie Michael repeatedly says that he's conserving his voice so he's not singing full out, and there are times where he's not singing because of this - and he still sounds fucking unbelievable.
  • - He's singing while dancing, running around, ect. how many pop stars do that? How many can do that? How many dare do that?

It's such a bittersweet tease. You know that this "curtain call" was going to blow everyone away. That the world was going to have this one last chance to see a true genius entertainer - show these pathetic excuses for pop-stars how to be a true entertainer.

Show the world what true talent is.

You know, after it ended, I had a feeling of.... I was inspired. It really re-inviggored my drive to work hard acheive something. I want to pour energy into a project, something that I worked hard to achieve. I was inspired to live life, and work hard to achieve my dreams.
