Dear Little One,

I do think that the nesting has landed and settled
among myself and your daddy.

It has taken on different forms~

Your daddy woke up at 0330 on his day off
to finish the music room.
Yesterday he took your stroller out~it's really nice~
we are thankful to have it. He wants to install
your car seat base tonight or tomorrow.

Our hospital bag is mostly packed,
I need to get some of your outfits in there
and we'll be good to go meet you!

At our last Antepartum visit at Memorial
we got to see your heart rate race, it was intense!
It was in the 160s and 170s for the most part.
The blond nurse waited a while to get your base line heart rate.

Nurse Melinda is awesome, I think you'll like her.
She checked me out the other day and said that
I was 80% thinned out, and you were at a -3 station.
No dilation that day. Who knows...are you telling us
you want to come earlier?

The weather here is a little berserk...right now it is
in the high 30s, low 40s. And Monday it is scheduled
to be in the 70s! I really like the fall weather...I
hope it comes back soon.

I'm excited to see you and meet you, I haven't been
able to sleep during the day. I think
of more things to do to prepare for you!

Still need to get those fancy schmancy cloth
diapers pre-washed...wondering if it will be
worth it...hope you like breast milk!

Your daddy said that he wants to (or will)
get a kitten when you're born.
Right now I'm thinking against doing that.
I've never had a kitten or cat or a baby in the house!
I want to go one at a time...

I've requested a transfer of care from on to off post
and so now you'll be born in a facility
that will be able to take better care of you should you need it.
They are less busy there, it's very nice.
So you'll get the attention you'll need.
Plus, daddy likes their food policy.

Tomorrow we may go to the mountains
for a quick getaway, to see some fall colors.
You'll get to see them soon~

cold in october, baby, fall, 36 weeks
