So the new puppy is named Hachiko.
Black Hayate and Hachiko. I like how they roll together.
This morning when I was getting ready for work Jean said to me, "What if Black Hayate and Hachiko get over their differences and fall in love?"
It made me smile for most of the morning. Part of me having a romance weakness, and the part of me that goes weak whenever Jean saids something cute or touching. Which is easily every day. But I couldn't help but to muse the idea over as we took the whole family to work.
Hachiko was a huge hit today. Fuery had double excitement, Breda had double the panic attacks that made me laugh inside, Falman was actually very fond to Hachiko, and Roy actually attempted to tie her ears into a bow. Although with one hand, only. Poor thing, her ears are always picked on.
She slept most of the day under Jean's desk, where he used his uniform jacket to make a little bed for her. It's now covered with white fur. Black Hayate was not too happy about this and waited most of the day until she woke up just so he could play with her. I found it adorable when they played tug-o-war during lunch.
Of course the day was accented with Roy happily procrastinating, throwing pencils into the ceiling, cleaning the windows, and spinning around in his chair. I don't remember when I saw him this, well... himself last. It felt like the old days, when I reminding him time to time to get back on task and he would let out a exaggerated sigh. I even thought about breaking both of his wrists today so he could keep this attitude longer.
Oh, I also got a bunch of letters today from school children. Confused? So was I when I saw the very unofficial document of a school teacher and principal. Apparently I've been invited to read to some school children. I think I am going to do it. It would show the children to trust the military blue, and the school staff that the country is run by a excellent leader and his second-in-command is a actual human being. Plus, it would be positive press about the military. I don't see any negatives.
I think I'll even put together a visual aid to show them that soldiers have everyday lives, they just differ from civilians.
I think that this will be fun.
...The only part I do not like about this is that I have to schedule security to come with me to this school. I thought about asking Roy and Jean to come with me but if Roy went with me.. there would be way too many secret police personnel running around. And double the media and craziness in general. I leave that open; I haven't decided.
Though I want Jean to come with me, since he is a Lieutenant and I trust him more then the secret police with my life.
Well, I'm going to try and get some more sleep. Hopefully Hachiko won't wake me up by crying anymore.
