Everyone was rather easy to please this holiday, at least I think so.
- I bought Jean a Nintendo Wii, or whatever it's called. And most of the games that the clerk said was 'hot'. He hasn't turned it off since. I find it extremely funny to see him move across the family room with the controller. The games are so physical..
- I purchased a year's worth of cleaning services for Jean's mother. I figured it would be a nice gift so she could quit complaining about having to clean her little home all the time. And that way she could help Jean and I out once the twins are born.
- For my grandfather, I bought him an array of mysteries form his favorite author, and an antique chess set. It's not like the other ones he has. I found it when I was going back to the office and it just sorta caught my eye..
- For everyone else, I went to the bakery and purchased an amount of sweets. I also put some of my own cookies in a box along with it.
And I also left cards for the mailman, the garbage collectors, my doctor, and the landscaper. (in which I had to go on a hunt to find his personal address since it's too cold to cut the grass) I guess being pregnant this holiday season has really got me in the holiday spirit.
I've been enjoying myself as of late, wasting my week off of work reading some new books my grandfather gave to me (we think alike, almost scary) and glad that I didn't have to get dressed up or anything.
This new years, Jean's mother, and my grandfather are coming over. This will be the first new years in a while where I am not able to drink.. Then again, this will be my first new year's with someone I'm truly in love with.
I'm going to make a list of new year's resolutions and post them here sooner or later.
