Well...it's a new year. Everyone makes New Year's Resolutions they don't keep. I know I'm not one for tradition, but I like to set goals, even if I know I won't live up to them.
Aside from the obvious (graduate, get a job, get a place on my own, get a car....le sigh), I have decided to designate myself one completely superfluous resolution and that is to learn French. I mean, I've pretty much mastered Spanish--put me in a Spanish-speaking country and it'll sound like my native tongue in like a month. French is Latin-based, you know, one of the romance languages. I figure it shouldn't be too hard to learn, especially considering I dated a Frenchman for a while there and I pick up a thing or two when I pay attention even now.
This is going to be a year of major change for me. I'm so excited and so scared all at the same time. I can't wait to start my life, but is it so wrong to feel TERRIFIED that I'm going to mess this up? It wouldn't be unlike me.
Guess I'll just have to wait and see.
