[I hope you were enjoying a nice, peaceful day, Luceti. Normally, the natural game keeps deeper in the forest. But, as you know deer are, they started to shift their typical grounds to avoid Moro. Lately, she's been hunting a LOT pretty close to the village, since that's where the deer seem to think they're a little safer. On this day in

When she saw the herd of deer come thundering towards her, Ninetails held her ground before nimbly jumping away, already with her prayer slips held between her fingers. No need to change forms here, she'd give her identity away. Yet this presence...]
The wolf god.

...After consuming it, she carefully sifted through the bones, then began digging a hole into the dirt street. And burying the bones. Her jaw began moving, and a deep grumbling echoed from her chest, but whether or not she was saying anything as she buried her catch wasn't very clear.
After the fact, she seemed quite satisfied with herself, and playfully snapped her jaws at random humans to send them running.]

Ninetails slid from her hiding spot and out into the open. Would this one recognize her as a demon as well? She had to be careful, but was genuinely curious. In her best impression of fear, the woman cowered.]
G-Gods above...I pr-pray for the flesh and blood of the s-s-sacred animal! Let its untainted s-soul rest in peace!!

Begone, disgusting little human. You know nothing of prayer.

Ninetails jumped back in a good portrayal of fear, holding her clasped hands up and bowing her head to the wolf.]
I-I merely...I am b-but a simple priestess. I w-w-wish only to offer my p-prayers to the fallen animal! You...You are a divine spirit, o-of that I am sure!! Please, l-leave us in peace. If it is an offering you desire, I-I will fetch the finest sake this place has to offer, o' great and powerful spirit god!

[And maybe scavenge on some of those bones. She hadn't eaten much recently, either.]

...Well. Assumed up until that point. She tenses, inhaling deeply.
If you think she looked angry before...]

The woman backs away slowly, she can't risk too big a fight. Not out in the open, at least.]

Oh, how eager I am to sink my fangs into you.

[She chuckles darkly, closing her eyes. Once she open them, the iris is a deep red. Why hide when she's been found out?] As am I eager to test my newly regained power against such a lesser creature. Alas, our quarrel will have to wait. You are the one I seek to destroy.

Instead, Moro actually has the gaul to lie down, haughty as ever, simply smirking at "Rao".]
Then it will be so satisfying to prove how severely you have underestimated me. It has been so long since I've sunk my fangs into a demon. What joy that will be.
Hopefully, you do not flee in terror like the other demon here does. Such would be such a bore.

You gods are all the same...filthy and disgusting braggarts. So sure of yourselves because of your titles. Though you are strange, mutt. I've never seen a god act like such a beast towards the mortals. [She grins now, eyes flashing manically.] Are you certain you were not raised by my kin? You act as a demon would.
And I do not merely spit insults and threats. If I intend to kill you, I will kill you. You must simply hold your sharp tongue until I deem it fit to end your worthless life.

If you kill me, then you will surely have bragging rights, won't you? Won't that be quite an accomplishment. An impossible victory.
It is not my title. It is my role. My existence is merely to devour demons, and all else that threatens the forests. It just so happens that humans happen to be rather threatening to the forest, themselves.
[She is not phased by the insult. She's heard much, much worse from humans.]
I look forward to when you muster the courage.
