[Somewhere off in the distance, something is dragging big tree limbs back and forth, if the noise is any indication. And climbing trees. And making all kinds of racket jumping around up there because this forest is definitely broken I mean jeez branches should not break under an eleven-year-old's weight ever, so on and so forth.
Someone be trollin' all around your woods lately, Moro.]
[-first of all, that is completely unfair, I did not expect those to snap. These trees are defective.
But HOLY SWEET JIRACHI THAT IS A MASSIVE POKEMON/ANIMAL/DOES IT EVEN FUCKING MATTER
Sapphire yelps and jumps as high as she can, grabbing onto the tree's trunk and frantically clawing towards a HIGHER BRANCH that she might be able to canopy-hop from. That attack managed to completely and utterly terrify her, there, and now more than ever she really wants her Pokemon.]
[Sapphire nearly slips once before kicking off her shoes, letting them fall to the ground below as she clings to the very base of the branch with hands and feet, breath coming in ragged, shaken gasps. She keeps her gaze fixed on the massive creature on the ground, not daring to let it out of her sight.
And there she thought the forest was a preferable option. Letting out a shuddering breath, Sapphire climbs carefully out along the branch -
- then gasps again when it cracks, dashing back to cling to the trunk and glance around desperately between the surrounding trees and the giant wolf below.]
[oh holy mew oh holy mew oh what the hell was that it's like Kyogre and Groudon but a million times worse and
- and the "animals" here talk, right? So this isn't so different. It's a giant animal. A giant, angry, territorial animal. Like an alpha Mightyena but much much bigger and much much angrier.]
I...ain't defyin' anything...!
[That was supposed to sound confident. Really, it was. But when you're facing down something that big...]

[It's easier if she concentrates very hard on visualizing the monster as a Mightyena. And convinces herself that she's safe at this height.]

There are no spirits here to enrich the forest.

[...with luck, the angry not-Mightyena will stop being angry at her. Luck being the key word.]
