[In the middle of town, you'll find Moro again. No injuries, it seems, save a few cuts and bruises here and there. What you WILL see is that where her muscles are thinner, her bones are showing through as a sign of emaciation. Her ribs are still almost not visible, thanks to thick chest muscles and fur, but on her paws and in her face the signs

[the last time Moro looked like this she was dead. That actually makes San hesitate in her approach - all this after only a few days? Moro's stronger than that - but when she does get close enough to tell her mother's alive, she'll hurry the rest of the way]

[There's actually a quiet relief as San's scent reaches her, and she opens her eyes and pants a little in greeting.]

[oh good she really is alive. With head attached and everything. San will stand where Moro can see her without needing to move]

[puts a hand on one of Moro's front legs and can actually feel the lack of nourishment. Frown.]

[aaaaaaaaaaaand gone. Off hunting, back in many minutes]

[and back! With the initial spoils of hunting, which are rather sad - a few squirrels and a groundhog - but probably enough for Moro initially, right? She can always go and hunt again]

[San's not in any shape to be bringing down something like a deer anyway right now]

What else do you need, mother? [Moro's probably never been this bad in San's recall-able life]

[Sounds fine to San. She will be guarding you, and hunting again if you ask for it]

[Moro will go back to sleep for a while. In a day's time she'll have the strength to haul herself home. :(]
