[Moro might run into a familiar face in the forest; Keusrai, leaning against a tree with his eyes closed. It almost looks like he's meditating. Eventually, though, he'll snap out of it, looking vaguely disgusted.]
[It's not like he hasn't smelled blood before. It's just unexpected. In any case, it's time for a bit of detective work... leading up to the bloody trees. Possibly Moro.]
I apologize. In my world, there were lots of gods, spirits, and traditions... I don't know yours yet. Let me think, though.
[He leans against a tree again - narrowly missing a blood smear - and is silent for a little while.]
Nature spirits tend to be about balance, or cycles. Maybe you're trying to return what you used... recycling, I guess. [He laughs softly there, just for a moment.]
[Lineface right back at you, Moro.] I realize that, but what will you do if some wizard decides he hates trees and starts blasting them into toothpicks? You have to be prepared. Sharp fangs aren't going to nurse a tree back to health.

Hm... have you thought about trying to learn magic from the spirits here? Some earth magic would be useful for taking care of the trees.
