[Moro might run into a familiar face in the forest; Keusrai, leaning against a tree with his eyes closed. It almost looks like he's meditating. Eventually, though, he'll snap out of it, looking vaguely disgusted.]

[Your problem. Moro's doing something she considers completely normal.]

[It's not like he hasn't smelled blood before. It's just unexpected. In any case, it's time for a bit of detective work... leading up to the bloody trees. Possibly Moro.]

[Obviously so, in fact, as she catches you.

...And pretty much just decides to turn a blind eye.]

[Well, he's not turning a blind eye. It's not often one gets to observe a god, after all.] Excuse me, Moro... is this some kind of ritual?

I would think a creature of nature would understand such a thing.

Such a sad thing, that the spirits are so weak that even animals are hardly associated with them...

I apologize. In my world, there were lots of gods, spirits, and traditions... I don't know yours yet. Let me think, though.

[He leans against a tree again - narrowly missing a blood smear - and is silent for a little while.]

Nature spirits tend to be about balance, or cycles. Maybe you're trying to return what you used... recycling, I guess. [He laughs softly there, just for a moment.]

Then it was foolish of you to ask.

Maybe, maybe not. Is there anything else you're trying to accomplish with this? I mean, it could be preparation for some sort of magic. I don't know.

I am a warrior. Magic is reserved for the etheral spirits - I am bound to flesh so that my fangs can kill.

[Eep. This one's a wrathful god.] Alright then. Is this a warning, maybe? Something like "don't mess with my trees or I'll eat you"?

Something to that effect.

Alright, I'll remember that.

Hm... have you thought about trying to learn magic from the spirits here? Some earth magic would be useful for taking care of the trees.

I am a warrior.

[She seems discontent that she's had to repeat herself :|]

[Lineface right back at you, Moro.] I realize that, but what will you do if some wizard decides he hates trees and starts blasting them into toothpicks? You have to be prepared. Sharp fangs aren't going to nurse a tree back to health.

That is the role of other gods and spirits.
