[Hello Moro. Derek is watching you from a distance, his expression curious. He will nod respectfully, as always, should she look to him, but other wise remain silent.

...it should be noted that his infection seems to have healed somewhat; he's nearly in the same state as when he first arrived. But he's still wary...almost haunted. Somewhat healed he might be, but it's left it's mark on him.]

[The fact that he seems to have healed is something that keeps her from bothering him. Good! She's content with that. Now whether or not you help her do whatever she's doing is your prerogative.]

[Eventually, he will make his way over, curiosity winning out. He'll wait til she puts down the newest piece of wood.]

Cleaning. There is too much fallen wood for the forest to make use of when it rots.

[Derek will nod, then, and as she goes back into the forest, he will follow at a respectful distance to where-ever she's getting the wood from.]

[It's mostly by the river, where smaller and older trees snap from any particularly strong storms. Lots of debris up here, where it's harder for humans to access.]

[derek_bliss]

[Once there, Derek will start picking up the larger of the human-handle-able bits of wood while Moro tackles the larger pieces. He doesn't speak; just works. But helping the giant wolf-goddess is giving him some peace. Once they both have what they can carry, he'll follow her back to the growing pile.]

[She won't wait for you to keep up, but she is letting you help. What a show of trust and faith!]

[Derek appreciates it, and will keep up as well as he can. He'll take his peace where-ever he can find it.

At some point, he will stop to eat a piece of jerky, and will offer some to Moro.]

[She'll give it a cursory sniff, but will not take it. She simply goes back to her business. But at least she did the courtesy of considering?]

[As well as not biting his head off in disdain. He'll eat that piece as well before going back to work.

Nope, he won't even bother her with conversation.]

[Well! That works fine, just working with her is enough for her. Words aren't a necessity, she doesn't understand why humans can be so wordy at times.]

As they keep working, Derek will quietly, very quietly, hum to himself off and on. It ends up being more of a sub-audible vibration from his lungs and throat though more often than not; he may want to hum, but he's trying not to annoy Moro with it.]
