We will prevail
My throat feels so scratchy. And my back is aching. I drank some Emergen-C earlier. I think I am due for another glass very soon. It seems like everyone in Eugene is getting sick-- I wish I could avoid this. Impecable (sp?) timing! Just like this god-awful weather. It's been some combination of snow and rain all day-- thick slush on the sidewalks and roads. I'm afraid that the temperature is going to drop tonight and freeze everything over. Believe me, this lame ass weather is not helping me bring clients in.
As far as work goes, I'm still seeking out all the free advertising I can get my hands on. Nothing is coming through yet but as my mother used to remind me when I was young, patience is a virtue. I need to tap into some of that patience. I'm doing that thing again at night where I can't fall asleep for a really long time becos I can't shut off. I've been making lists of bills, things I can sell for money, ways to advertise. I don't want to lapse into a neurotic anxious state the way I have before. Yesterday I sucked it up and asked Mom to send me some money and she agreed. We didn't talk about how much because she wanted me to go home and look at my bank account, so now that I have, I guess I will call her tomorrow.
Speaking of my lovely mom, she heard a rumor that her department at work might be going down for a week or so near the beginning or middle of April and she and Kyle might be bumping there visit up to then. Only three months to go! I knew I'd miss my mom, but I never imagined I'd miss her this much. She also told me that she wants to bring my cat, Pika on the plane so that he can live here.
Lindsey is back from the Dominican. Which means she is once again free to text me all day long which I lovelovelove and also it means she should send my mixes right away. Do it! <3
