Sasquatch was amazing, I will attempt to put it into words:
-Saw the end of USE. Meh, USE is USE, I don't really think I care anymore.
-Bloc Party was fantastic.
-Not too into Jem, but she has a nice voice and introduced her band, which made me happy because a lot of singers don't give their band any credit. Plus, she kept saying wicked in her hot British accent.
-I am in love with Ray LaMontagne. I thought it would be really hard for an acoustic performer to hold the attention of everyone at the mainstage, but he fucking owned it. Oh my god, he was amazing. The End.
-The Arcade Fire was the best band I saw. It was 8 people and they were all absolutely fucking majestic. They would all scream/sing and the same time, which was incredible, and these two insane guys started banging on everything possible with drumsticks and mic stands. The french horn player was incredibly poised, no other word for it. Holy shit, so good. I can't explain it, at all. Impossible.
-I have a new found appreciation for Wilco. Maybe it was seeing it or maybe it was listening to A Ghost Is Born about 500 times on the drive there and back. There was an eagle circling to the left of the stage for the first 2 or 3 songs and it was beautiful. I have never seen a band change guitars so many times in my life. One of them used maracas. I fell in love.
-Kanye West is such a good performer. Although he kind of pissed me off when he left early, because it was blatantly clear that he wanted an encore, and he knew he would get one. It was pretty arrogant, but he was good.
-Modest Mouse played really well. They sounded way better than at Deck the Hall Ball. Only played 3 old songs: Paper Thin Walls, Dramamine and Tiny Cities Made of Ash. That last one was totally unexpected and really cool, because it has been one of my favorites lately.
-Left before The Pixies, because I don't really care and didn't want to fall asleep during their set for a second time.
I wish I had pictures, but, I didn't bring my camera into the concert and for some reason I didn't take any at any other time. Lame.
