[Welp, Yuri's day was going from bad to worse. Or more appropriately, the hallucinations that had been plaguing him for a while had gotten weirder.]

... Nope. Not in Yokohama anymore.

...Hello?

[When her drone father turns from a stereotypical 1950's man to Yuri, it's pretty obvious to see. So she approaches.]

[From snappily dressed, good-natured fellow drone to vaguely-unkempt hooliganYuri would be a bit of a change indeed, to put it mildly]

...You gonna start with the knowing-me-forever bit, too?

[She shakes her head.]

No, this is our first time meeting. I'm sure I would remember meeting you before if we had.

[He quirks an eyebrow, shifting his weight as he stands.]

And you are?

Tsubasa Hanekawa. It's...a little complicated as to why you are here. I'm willing to explain if no one on the phone has.

I've got mosta the picture, I think. Though if you wanna be more thorough 'bout the explanation, knock yourself out.

[Oh hey, "manners". He can remember those from time to time. He jerks a thumb, aiming it at himself.]

Yuri, by the way. Yuri Hyuga.

Oh, hello Hyuga-san.

[She takes her own them and jerks it at herself.]

I'm Tsubasa Hanekawa! But you already know that, don't you.

Yeah. Memory's not that bad, after all.

[Actually, it might be. But hey Tsubasa doesn't have to know that. Yet.]

So, Wait. Mayfield: We're stuck playin' house here, weird crap happens onna weekly basis, and ...something about the milk?

iinchoucat April 24 2011, 06:56:08 UTC
I wouldn't say weekly. It's more monthly from the current pattern. You don't need to pretend to be my father if you don't want to. And yes, don't drink the milk that's delivered every day on the front porch. The milk in the grocery store, on the other hand, is safe. If you want some there's a carton in the refrigerator.

I got no intentions of being anyone's dad right about now. Sounds like everyone should keep an eye out for each other t'me though.

[He shrugs.]

[She nods. She's been here for almost a year now, so she knows how things go and there's no real problem with it in her mind.]

If you need to know anything I'll be happy to answer questions. I've been in Mayfield for quite some time, so I think I can be of service.

Uhh... Anyone know -why- we're here? Can sweat the smaller details later but the suddenly-I-am-here bit is kinna weird.

[Resurrection tends to be disorienting, after all.]

sorry for the late iinchoucat May 3 2011, 01:40:44 UTC
It's complicated to explain, but the short story is that we've been kidnapped by an unknown entity and placed into nuclear families. The town, Mayfield, poses as a 1950's suburbia in the United States and we are expected to conform. Not that anyone really wants to.

No worries~ bitemescumbag May 3 2011, 19:12:21 UTC
That's... more simple than I'd figured it would be.

[Sure, the word "nuclear" was an unknown, and the fact he'd gone about three decades into the future were now fact. But weird shit is the norm for this guy, and it shows.]

So have people tried breaking out yet, or what?

The last time we attempted an escape was late in March, when the town tricked us into thinking Mayfield was breaking down under it's own rule. Clearly you can see what the results of that were.

Great. So, we gonna keep trying all trial-and-error then?

[Beat. Shrug.]

Assuming we keep it up, anyway.
