You got to love the cable company
So lets see...
Comcast didn't pick up my satellite equipment when they came by, even though I asked them if they were going to pick it up.
So, they have taken back their credits for the dish back program, added back installation cost, and sent me a bill for $400....
So I call them, and they temporily giv eme a credit to bring me down to what I should be paying, but now I have to go to a Comcast office to drop off the equipment that they were suposed to pick up...
To top it off, I hooked up my DVD burner directly to cable, instead of through the stereo receiver, so that it can record whatever I tell it to record, without having the receiver turned on and on the correct source, but the signal is so bad on analog, that I'm missing channels 33 through 67, and after CMT, like who watches that anyway, another 15 or so are bad enough the the tv automutes and displays it's own version of a BSOD.... So now I get to take a long lunch tomorrow while Comcast comes out to check it out, even though they won't be able to fix it, because they weren't able to fix it 2 years ago when I had this problem.
I can already see the chain of events in my head again...
They will come in and say it's the cable between the tv and the wall, so they will replace that.
Then they'll say it's the cable in the wall between the first cable and the junction box outside, even though they replaced that two years ago..
Then it will be the cable between the junction box outside my house, and the big box in the street, so they will dig up my yard and replace that cable again, which was also replaced last year..
Then, eventually, they'll send an engineer out, who will just say that thats how comcast works and suck it up..
I have no problems going through all this, I really don't, except for the fact that each one of the above will happen on a different day, on a different week, for each one. Comcast always works that way.. And they probably won't even be able to fix it.
Oii.. And all I really want is Sci-Fi to be able to record BSG every week, automatically....
