The Whole Package

**Basics**
Name: Zoie.
The Significance Of Your Username: “justxxducky” I can’t exactly remember how I thought it up. I’ve been on LJ a few years and have had a lot of usernames (usually titles of songs and stuff). This username came from after I had just broken up with my boyfriend, my old journal had a lot of entries about us, and I was in a “fuck, I don’t want to see these yet I don’t want to delete them” mood and so I sat for a while thinking of a username (or trying to it’s hard, because you’re basically stuck with it.) A lot of people call me “ducky” and I just added “just”. The X’s are there because I didn’t want the two words to be one long icky cramped one.
Gender: Female.
Age: 17.
Location: Los Angeles, California.
Sexual Preference: Straight.
Martial Status (Pictures?): Single, but I have my eye on someone.
Zodiac Sign: Sagittarius [b. December 5]
Religion: I don’t have one, but I am open to other religions.
Nationality: Welsh!
Piercing/ Tattoos (Pictures?): I have my ears pierced, just standard lobes, also I have my nose pierced on my right side.

It looks like a zit there, but it’s the little jewel shining in the sun I guess. No tattoos yet, although I have a specific one in mind which I want to get.

**Favs**
Try to keep answers to five or fewer.
Movie: Forrest Gump, Reservoir Dogs, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, The Elephant Man, Some Like It Hot.
Actor/Actress: I think scarlett johansson is an incredibly attractive young actress and I love meryl streep as for actors I love George Clooney both on the big screen and also from ER, Johnny Depp plays the most amazing pirate ever, and I’m quite partial to Anthony Hopkins and jack nicholson also.
Band/Solo Artist: Social Distortion, The Misfits & Danzig ( I couldn’t possibly pick!), G.B.H., Nekromantix, The Damned.
Element: Water. I like its calming tranquil effect.
Swearword: Fuck!
Book: I have several. I love to read, when I was a kid my favorite author was Roald Dahl
- all of his stories were a childhood favorite. Now that I am older I like to read more “adult” books, I love true crime books, and at the moment I’m reading a fabulous book “HOMICIDE” by David Simon.
Place: Palm Springs.
Time of Day: definatly bedtime !
Season: Summer. I live in California, and I love the summer weather.
Fetish: Biting.

**Opinions (Choose at least three!)**
Gay Rights: I believe that everyone should be entitled to the same rights, with that said I believe that people should have the right to marry anyone they choose ( I say that in the “over a certain age” category - I don’t mean a 45 year old man should legally be able to wed a 12 year old boy/girl/dog.) I know several gay couples and they have all been together longer than most straight couples I know (my 11th grade history teacher has been with his partner 27 years now!) and I know how much it pains them not to be married (they had a small ceremony, nothing “legal” though.) Not so much for the fact they want to be together (as they are) but also for the fact that if something was to happen to one of them the other would not be able to make a life-saving/changing decision in their honor. This hurts many people - the fact that they have been with someone so long yet they have no say (if this person is horribly injured in a car crash) on what should be the correct coarse of action.

Abortion: Personally, I believe abortions should be legal. This would save countless women all over the world from the dangers of “back alley” abortions. However, I do not believe women should take advantage of this and use it as a form of birth control. Abortions should not just be banned, because countless babies are the result of rape, incest, abuse, etc. As a woman myself I could not imagine how hard it would be to have to carry a baby that was the product of some vile act of violence against me. Also, I believe abortions should be allowed for the high risk “there is no chance of this baby leading even a semi-normal life” pregnancies. I’m not saying if the baby has downs-syndrome or another genetic condition to abort it, but rather if the baby is like an agent orange baby with like no eyes, one arm, and a toe coming out of its stomach and it being completely unviable outside of the womb.

Legalization of Marijuana:

Teenage Drinking: It would be so highly hypocritical of me to say “teenage drinking is bad” because I am still a few years under age and I have been - for lack of a better term - pissed out of my mind a few times before. I believe that here in America the drinking age is too high. At 18 you can do anything, you can marry, you can join the armed forces, but you can’t drink. I believe an age like 17 or 18 would be a more suitable drinking age. As for the younger teens (12,13,14, etc) who go out and get drunk all the time I wish they would listen more to the people who try to warn them about it, it’s not the “cool” thing to do, it’s not cool to be taken advantage of or to get hurt or hurt someone. My parents always raised me with the saying “if you want to drink we’d rather you drink at home so we can watch you and make sure your safe.” and I think that overall that would be the best thing (but still not for a really young kid. If I was 12 and my mum caught me with a king cobra she’d kick my ass.)

Religion:

Separation of Church and State:

Animal Rights:

Death Penalty: The death penalty is a really hard one. So many cases from the 70’s, 80’s, and even 90’s are being proven wrong because of the advances of DNA technology, so I believe those cases should be reviewed before anyone is put to death because mistakes do happen. But I do believe the death penalty should be allowed. Honestly if you did something so horrible to deserve the death penalty I don’t see why you shouldn’t die.
Plastic Surgery: I wish that some women would just learn to embrace their curves and “flaws” rather then put themselves through immense pain trying to change them. No one has the perfect everything, everyone has a flaw and whilst I believe that plastic surgery is totally a personal choice I wish that many people wouldn’t base this choice on “what’s hot” in current society.

Cloning:

Affirmative Action:

**Random And Vital**
Have you ever watched porn? What’s you’re opinion on the pornography industry?: I’ve watched that HBO porn show before, random teenage curiosity. Honestly, it’s something I’d never consider, but I think if it’s something that you want to do and you feel comfortable doing it and you are of legal consenting age and state of mind you should be allowed to do it.

Do you believe in ‘Love at First Sight’?: No, I’ve never experienced it so until I do I can’t say that I do. I believe that firstly it starts of as just attraction. You know the feeling, the seeing someone and thinking “whoa”, and then gradually you notice yourself looking for them in the hallway more or saying “hello” every change you get and then getting butterflies in your stomach when they talk back to you and initiate more conversations and stuff. And then love forms from that attraction.
Have you ever thought that someone would be ‘Just Perfect’ for you, based on looks alone?: I have in my naïve younger days but then I realized that people can be the most beautiful people on the outside but the most hideous on the inside. I’d be lying if I said “looks don’t count” because to some degree they do, but I’d rather a nice person on the inside and outside then just the outside.

Pick one song lyric that describes you: This means one or two lines, not a whole fucking song!
Cliché but it has to be excuse me mr. by no doubt.
“What should I do
I'm about to crack
And there's a force
That comes over me
It's almost as if I'm tied to the tracks
And I'm waiting for him
To rescue me
The funny thing is
He's not going to come
He's not going to find me
This is the way I guess it has to be...
A Little of your time
I need a little of your time
Please, a little of your time

Pick a song lyric that describes how you’re feeling right now: (oh gosh this is a hard one!) as of this moment I’d pick
“I say
Wake up
My love of mine
Why do u spend your time
With these guys who don't love you
The way that I do” Tim Armstrong “Wake Up.”
Because I have feelings for someone (actually a guy) whose spending more time with the sort of people (both guys and girls ----friends) who don’t actually love him (in that friendship sort of way.) and are rather just using him and it’s only going to land him in trouble. And at the moment I wish he’d take a step back and look to see who his real friends are.

When taking a stance in an argument or political issue, do you usually use your own instinct or examine the facts closely?: Usually I go by the facts, because facts ---unlike opinions --- can not be debated.

Make an observation about life: “Momma always told me life was like a box of chocolates”. But seriously, life is hard. To make it in life you often have to struggle and work from the bottom of the bottom and work as hard as you can to make it. A lucky few just get everything handed to them, but then are they really lucky? Without having to do things the hard way, and go through tough things in life are you really living? If you take the people who just get everything handed to them and then put them in the real world they really wouldn’t make it.
Do you believe in the “an eye for an eye” way of revenge?: I believe it is best to be the “better man” in most cases and just walk away. Getting cold, hard revenge on someone who has wronged you may feel like a good thing to do at the time but you have to take a step back and look at it like if I do it how they would, then I am really no better than you are.

One word that sums up who you are: perky.

What is your ‘guilty pleasure’ CD?: Blink-182’s “Dude Ranch”. When I was in 6th grade and really started to get into music Blink was a really big thing (in my school and with my friends and probably with 6th graders in general.) I admit that every once and a while I put “Dammit” and “Josie” on repeat and sing them as loud as I can.
If you died today, would you be happy with what you did in life?: No, because I have done a lot of things wrong and haven’t really accomplished much. At the end of this month I will be the first in my family to graduate high school and have been accepted into college, so maybe if I died next month I could be happy that I accomplished something my parents didn’t (which is why we moved to America in the first place.)

Does saying, “I’m sorry,” really mean anything?: I think that it does and it doesn’t. “I’m sorry that I slept with your sister” doesn’t really cut it. But in other cases like
‘I’m really sorry that I didn’t do this assignment and let down my group” (if the sorry is sincere) it means something.

What is your definition of reality?: Reality = Here. Now.

sugarkissx asks: What are 5 of your most random obsessions?
- Hockey. I love hockey. I live, sleep, eat, and breathe hockey.
- Ducks. Rubber ducks, toy ducks, towels with ducks on them. I just love ducks. (hence, justxxducky).
- Karma. I try to do good to people because otherwise I think that something horrible is going to happen to me.
- Counting things. It’s really weird, considering I hate math. But If I’m on the subway or waiting for a bus or something I count the bricks on walls, or titles on the floor or something.
- Doing things in order. Every morning I have to have the same routine. I have to do things (makeup, hair, clothes) in a certain order, I don’t know why I just have too. Looking back on my past 2 obsessions I think I also have to visit a doctor or something!

WELSH CAKES
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, and mace. Cut the butter into small pieces and blend into the flour mixture with a pastry blender or two knives. The mixture should look like coarse crumbs. Stir in the currants and mixed peel. Add the beaten egg and enough milk to form a light dough.
Knead the dough gently on a lightly floured surface and roll to a thickness of 1/4 inch (5 mm). Cut into rounds using a 2 1/2 inch (6 cm) cookie cutter.
Lightly butter a griddle, heavy frying pan, or electric frying pan and heat to medium hot. Cook the welsh cakes for about 5 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown, but still soft in the middle. Immediately after baking, sprinkle with granulated white sugar. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Welsh cakes can also be eaten buttered or split in half and spread with jam.
Makes about 20 - 2 1/2 inch cakes.
Note: Welsh Cakes can also be baked in a 350 degree F (177 degree C) oven. Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake for about 7 minutes on each side or until nicely browned yet still soft inside. They can also be cooked on a baking stone in the oven. Heat the stone in a 350 degree F (177 degree C) oven and then bake the Welsh Cakes on the stone, turning after about 4 - 5 minutes, or until nicely browned.
