DON'T WORRY!

You've got brand name identity to fall back on. If nothing else, you can remember the images commercials and other forms of mass media have left in your brain.

the way the steel buttons come down,
one by one,
as the kids' hands shake.

the dark gleam sets their eyes afire,
hand in hand,
they dive. splash - coldly awake.

they teach you what's sexy, and so many people agree because most of them have been fed the same images, and the rest are content to follow what's lead.

i wouldn't doubt that someone raised away from this kind of life would inevitably learn it or be cast out to a great extent, wordlessly, unconsciously, from society.

there must also be people whose minds reject such identity-generation, but they would still react to the images they've consumed in one way or another, even if it's by pulling away from them.

it would interesting to watch a culture develop outside of the grasp of the media in the modern world, completely unaware that such a construct even exists.
