the curtain finally closes
Everybody, hello! I can't believe it's been so long since I've been here. (2 years?! I must be getting old. ;_;) I know some of you worried- for that I am really, really really sorry. I honestly can't apologize enough. :( I've been putting off posting this, because every time I think about it, I hesitate and doubt that it should be done. However, life's gotten ahead of me and laid out a path, and that path I've got to follow.
Now you're here for juicy details, aren't you? ;) Well, to begin with, the little Kaz you knew is a mommy now. :) (I'm hearing the gasps of surprise all the way from my house! Keep breathing!) Having a toddler doesn't lend itself to much computer time, much less pretty boys D: manga coloring and iconing. Secondly, I'll be making a big move soon with hubby and baby- out of the place I've lived all my life, to a very different kind of home and a very different job. It's a really big change and was a very hard decision, but it was part of what prompted me to come here and finally put a closure on something that I've been going back-and-forth on for months (and years). I wanted some closure here, because I definately didn't think it was fair to anybody here to wait on somebody who wouldn't be able to meet expectations.
So (here it comes) this iconjournal is now closed- there will be no further updates from me. Everything that's here, however, is still good to go- please save and use the icons as you will! I put lots of time and (yes, now I'm getting sentimental, but it's true!) love into them, and it makes me happy when I see somebody using one from long ago :D I'm restricting comments from this post- not because I don't want to hear from you, but because this is a final sense of closing that I need to do (otherwise, I'll keep this journal open forever and be in constant denial of whether to post again or not o_o).
To everybody on here who was so kind to the LJ-newbie, to a Bleach fan who barely had a reckoning of who Byakuya was, to an iconmaker trying to find a style, a manga fan who had never read Ouran Koukou Host Club (gasp!) and to a girl going through a daily job at essentially the only manga bookstore in town- I really want to thank you. It's been a long time, but please don't ever think that you were forgotten. Even my little one has heard stories of some of our inside jokes (and roots for Rafa in all tennis matches, I'll have you know)! I really love you guys, and I'm really grateful for the time I had on here with you.
So, it seems it's time for my final adieu. Everybody, keep smiling, yeah? :)
