in retrospect, i am disgusted with the actions that took place that night. i feel that
peoples liberties and civil rights have been tampered with, and these properties that every
american is promised should go untouched upon.
the problem with teenagers or younger folk, including any brat from the ages 12-23, is that
they have no right driving around at night. once i lay eyes on these little bastards
driving around, i assume the worst. this night was no different as i spotted a couple
people in a car, driving, like they always do. so i followed them discretely, but the smart
little guys were privy to my investigation. i had my friend in the car and we were sick of
watching people get away with....driving. parking was their first mistake, and i wasnt
going to let them forget that.
luckily we found the boys, there were three of them, and they were smugly smoking
cigarettes. to make them nervous, i turned my brights on. the initial lighting of my car
influenced them to give it all away. they were up to no good. i pulled up next to the
no-gooders and rolled down my window, i asked my friend to grab the flashlight out of my
backseat. they kids looked nervous, good, this is where i wanted them. so i asked them,
"what are you boys doing tonight?". the driver took a drag of his smoke and replied,
"having a cigarette", as though we were unaware of that. this was the type of smart-ass
wrong-doing that i dread. my friend taps me on the shoulder as i stare the punks down, he
whispers, "heres the flashlight", and hands me the light. i ask the kids if they live
around here, of course they answer yes and precede to point to the nice looking house across
the street. "Well alright", i said, and i turned on my flashlight and shined it in their
eyes to see the terror.
after i turned my flashlight off, my friend said, "lets go, they didnt do anything", and i
laughed out loud. i lifted my foot off the brake and slowly, i mean slowly drove away. i
was moving slower than torture away from those violators. as i was pulling away, my friend
made a good point that they were almost done with their cigarettes and should be going
inside soon. so i waited, i didnt even park, i just stopped in our tracks. they had to be
nervous, one of them was shaking when i flashed the light on them. unfortunately, they left
the car and went inside the house. if only these kids were as dumb as suspected, i would
have taken action.
