LET THERE BE FIC, and it was so. I'm trying to get my first post-ep (first of many; we've got weeks to fill!) out, and I'm getting held up by wonders of language, such as this:

Her lips press against his softly, the calm before the storm, and he sighs like she’s just relieved him of some horrific burden.

Sometimes, there are things I read, and I think, "Dammit. I wish so much I would have written that." That line? DAMN. That line. It's just perfect.

“So, we’re agreed. You weren’t going to kiss me, and I wasn’t going to kiss you.”

“Good. I’m glad we got that settled.”

This time, his smile is a smirk. She reciprocates. The familiar has its appeal too.

I always think Booth tastes like scotch and chocolate, too. Why is that? I guess he just looks the type.

I thought I was dead from the episode but that was obviously just fainting. This, THIS is dead from the utter bliss. The minute I saw you posted a tag for yesterday's episode I squeed all over again. *sheepish look*

For some reason I didn't see the last line coming but OMG! it totally made me shiver. Off to add this to memories, after I get reincarnated. ;-)

On the show, I often feel like less is more with them, and that's how I tried to build this fic. Just upping the tension, a bit at a time. I'm glad you liked it.
