Before I forget what happened.
I felt like shit when I woke up Friday morning. I was unproductive the night before and all I could think of was all the work I had to do for this term. (a lot + more effort seeing how my midterms and assignments didn't turn out so well). I ended up reading and making notes for two courses (still not caught up). Lorna said she was coming up this weekend and wanted to go to REV so I was waiting for when she wanted to meet up to pre-drink. I didn't get a message till later that night saying to meet in 45 mins. I was already annoyed since I texted her and it turns out she was using another cell phone, I had to call Davin to figure out what was going on (who ended up being in Toronto) and the lack of warning (especially when I pointed out that I would have to bus over to the place she was staying at).
Will called later that night because he wanted someone to go over his 494 thesis presentation. I would have gone to campus and seen him present but I figured the whole going back and forth was not worth it. He ended up presenting his material over the phone and boy, did I feel stupid. I realized how pathetic my memory has been with respects to my science courses. I don't remember anything nor did I even have the capabilities to figure out the stuff. Will wanted to feedback so I tried my best to ask a bunch of (lame) questions to make sure he knew what he was doing.
During our phone conversation, my next door neighbours were blasting their subwoofer on with music for their pre-drink party. It just made me even more angry that they were having a good time while I was stuck trying to figure out what to do for school. I was already in a bitter mood for the past week about what I was doing in life. This always happens when I go home every weekend for there will always be a Niagara falls moment between my parents and I in regards to my academics, career choice and future life ahead. Their laughter killed me on the inside.

I woke up Saturday morning determined to do some work. After realizing the insane snowstorm outside, I was beginning to wonder if I would ever make it to Bomber with Lorna. Especially since the management for my townhouse complex never removes snow until later in the day. In addition to Lorna's visit, Allan came into Waterloo this weekend too and wanted to meet up for dinner and drinks. Jon and I spent half hour debating whether we should bus or taxi to Lucy's in uptown Waterloo. Allan decided to not go to Lucy's seeing that there was no way he could get a taxi in time to meet up with us. As a result, we caught the 9 bus (who got stuck a few times on the ride) and ended up at Duke's of Wellington.
For the hell of it, I suggested to Jon that we call Allan to see if he was around the area so that we could meet up. Allan and his friends (Rhoda and Tina) were eating at Lucy's. After Duke's, Jon and I walked over and we all had desserts. Somehow both Jon and I were convinced to go to Kzone (which I have never been out of all the times here). Allan and Rhoda were on the phone trying to grab a taxi. Jon and I suggested that we just take the bus instead. What a bad idea that was. It turned out a bunch of the buses were stuck because the streets did not clear out in time. We then started tried calling cab companies and we ended up hailing a taxi van by running north on King Street from the Royal Bank to around Heuther's/Barley Works. This was probably the first time I had ran in a long time and I was already out of breathe after 3 quick sprints (not a good sign). Thank goodness, the people in the taxi were only hitting up the bars in uptown Waterloo or else we would've never made it to Kzone.
Once we got into Kzone it turned out that all the rooms were booked. We ended up sharing the lounge with a group of HK chinese students. They sang songs from FIR and Hacken, we were belching out Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
Jon and I walked home from Kzone..and it was not easy. None of the sidewalks were really cleared and the corners of roads were blocked by snow piles made by slowplows. We ended up going to Tim Horton's near our house before heading home.
It's daylights savings and I need to rehydrate.
