Chapter 6q- Work sent me home.
I know, what am I doing updating at this hour. I should be at work.
I woke up this morning and wanted to call into work sick, but after a huge mental debate with myself, the 'Suck it up and go to work' side won. I felt that I wasn't sick enough to warrant not going in. (I'm way too dedicated to my work.) It's Friday. I have two days ahead of me to rest. I should really save my 'calling in' days for times where I'm too sick to move. Plus, Patty's taking a half day today. I knew Dave would at some point ask me to cover for her and watch the phones. Meanwhile, there would be a couple hours worth of dub requests to fill. That's a good 4 to 5 hours of pay right there. Conclusion: I went to work.
I'm very good at hiding stuff like not feeling well if I want to, but I guess my acting skills weren't up to par today. Patty saw right through my act when I told her I was fine- after she asked me if I felt ok. She goes, you look like you have a fever. The studios will go on. I'll just have Jim do the dub requests. Conclusion: I came home.
I felt bad that Jim might have to stay an extra hour to finish up my work. And that I'm missing out on some pay that I really could use. I did find out today that according to Bosko, Jim looks like a pirate. Jim was confused until I suggested that maybe pirate means cracker in Bosko world.
I'm going to go sleep on the sofa next to my puppy dog until Spinal Tap comes on Tv.
Highlight of the day: This is Spinal Tap is on Tv at 3:30pm. It's never on Tv. (For those who have never seen this movie, you must see it ASAP. Especially if you are in anyway associated or know the music industry. You will pee your pants laughing. If at all possible, get the DVD with the commentaries at the end and get a good buzz b4 you watch it. It will be twice as funny.)
