Tears were falling down his face
As he watched her through the glass window
She is so young and beautiful
Once full of life
So carefree yet careful.
But now he could hardly believe
What he was seeing
There she was lying in bed
Hooked on machines and tubings
Barely awake....not moving.
It's been months,
and she was all like this
Confined to a room in her hospital bed.
He closed his eyes for a moment
Memories came flashing in his mind
Back to the time he saw her
Through the gap on her door,
Found her huddled at the corner on the floor
Moaning as if in pain
Then he saw her stick something on her skin
A syringe.... a litlle more push
It would take away all her pain.
He pushed the door but it wouldn't budged
Cuz there was another chain.
"God, please no", was all that he could say
As he break in to her room
And grab the syringe away.
But it was too late
Found the thing empty
And he took her in his arms
Looked at her helplessly.
...........................
There was nothing more he could do
As the ambulance took her away
So, he just prayed so hard
For her to be safe and out of harm's way.
...............................
But it's been months now
Yet nothing's changed
Not even a flicker of hope
That she's coming out from her deep sleep.
"Oh God", he said, "i love this girl so much
Please don't take her away.
I promised i'd be good to her,
Won't take her for granted. Please let her stay."
"I know we had a fight before that fateful day.
I stormed out of her room, refusing to hear what
she had to say. Now, i regretted it so much,
I wished i had stayed."
"Oh God", he said, "I'm begging you.
I hope it's not too late.
She's my everything, my life.
There's so much i need to say to her.
Please don't let her die."
And then he broke down and cry.
I watched them with a sad heart
Felt a pain in my chest
Something fragile and sharp.
Oh, i wondered why this had to happen
Why in this way they should part.
It felt so sad seeing him like that
Cried his heart out. I know it tore him apart.
I hugged him then.
Oh God, i felt his pain
And then we both cried
as we watched her life slowly faded in the night.
