We saw Alice in Chains on the 23rd. If you like Alice in Chains and aren't sure about William DuVall replacing Layne, one word... That motherfucker can sing.
I've known this for a while and you can hear it on the new album plus videos on YouTube. His voice in 9 forms of awesome live and the show rocked my face to a nearly unrecognizable form for 2 hours. Highlights would be 'Sickman', 'Nutshell', 'Last of My Kind', and 'Angry Chair' seguing directly into 'Man in the Box' which is the way they've played those songs for years. The audience went nuts for that shit. I'm going to see them again in April in West Virginia.
I've wanted to see them for 14 years so I figure two shows are in order, especially considering I prefer William to Layne. Also, I fucking love live shows where I sit 10 feet from the stage.
Other things would be as follows:
1) New car stereo next week. Mine has been dead for 6 months
2) Mastodon, Between the Buried and Me, and Baronness in May.
3) Thrice and Manchester Orchestra possibly in April, 2 days after the AIC show.
4) One year anniversary in May as well. Totally stoked for this one. It's been a fun time. I love the Boobootronic.
5) I'm going to bed now.
Peace.
