I don't wanna go
Just had a quick chat with a buddy who's training soldiers to take his unit's place in Afghanistan. He's heading back this week, and will be home in a couple of months. He's coming home with a pair of purple hearts and some serious ptsd issues. I told him that he needs to avoid getting a 3rd, I like my buddies to have all of their limbs. It's very possible that I'll be heading over there within the next 9 months or so. It's freaking me out a little. I was watching Kathy Griffin's show the other day, when she went to Afghanistan in '05. She was talking to a guy who was an admin specialist, the day before she arrived he had been walking with his girlfriend to the chow hall when a rocket struck. He made it, but his girlfriend didn't. They were admin, for fuck's sake, and inside the contonement area. With that shit and hearing about Adam and Ed getting hit, I'm seriously stressing out. I really like my life, I'm totally not ready to quit yet.
