I'm not doing a damned thing today. Well, later on I'm going to put away the last bit of laundry that I did yesterday (5 loads, yuck) and clean the kitchen. But I'm not going anywhere or doing anything major. At work this week I answered the phone, the call was for one of the supervisors, so I asked who was calling and she said 'Lori Todd', I replied 'nu-uh!' (very professional, I know), and we talked for a moment. I've known Lori since I was 12 or so, she and my sister used to be best friends. She is moving to Jacksonville, FL. on the 20th, and invited me to her going away party that was held last night. She used to work for my agency, so the majority of the people attending would be my coworkers.

So yesterday I got up early, goofed around the house, and then went to the laundromat. I spent a few hours there, and then went grocery shopping. I got home at around 3, and started to put away the laundry. I got through all of it but the whites, while watching season 4 of the Sopranos and doing a few other things around the house in between. By the time I realized what time it was, it was 6:28, and I was supposed to be at the party at 7. So I showered in record time, put on my faded boot cut jeans and the black cleavage top, and my black belt. I haven't lost any more weight, but my belt went to the 3rd hole this time, so I'm definitely losing inches, which is ok with me. muscle weighs more than fat. I arrived just at 7:00, and had a great time. My friend Joe showed up (who went to high school with my oldest sister and I've known forever), and then the daughter of the man who was supposed to marry Brian and I arrived. I hadn't seen her since '93, and she looked exactly the same. So it wasn't bad, there were some people I knew, my bosses were there, and they got drunker than I did, we laughed a lot, and I left at around 9. Joe had asked me to meet him over at the bowling alley so we could chat a bit more, so I did that. We hung out there for about half an hour, and then I bailed. I wanted to watch Joe wheel home (he's been in a chair all his life, some birth defect, but I've never known what it is), but he was having none of it, and wanted me to drive off so he could make sure I was ok to drive myself home. He just lives across the street from the bowling alley, so I knew he'd be all right. I stopped by Pizza Hut on the way home, because with all the shit I did yesterday I fully forgot to eat. The pan crust might have been a bad idea because I felt a bit nauseous after, but I slept ok and woke up hangover free.

I woke up at around 8 this morning, my sister brought Gavin over at about 8:30, and he'll be with me until around 8 tonight. Jen is in either Concord or Sacramento for the day, I'm not sure which. She quit Victoria's Secret (I have 5 days left to use her discount to get a couple of good bras!) because she got a better job offer. I don't know what company she's going to be working for, I keep forgetting, but she'll be getting 75% off of a Tempurpedic bed once a year. This year she's getting a new bed, next year I get a new bed. I'm stoked.

Ok, on a more somber note. I've finally been affected by the hurricane on the gulf coast. We're still very close with Jen's ex-husband (her oldest son's father), who lives here in Red Bluff. His sister lived in Gulfport, and he can't find her. I haven't seen Becky in years, but she's a great person, and my nephew's aunt. So when Jerry finds her he'll be bringing her back here, and she'll be staying in my 4th bedroom until she gets back on her feet. Everybody cross your fingers that he finds her soon, and in good shape.

Update: Jen got off work early and just left with the midget, I'm all alone for the rest of the weekend, yay!
