One door closes...
I just got off the phone with Sue, who owns 3 houses in Red Bluff. I talked to her for a good 20 minutes. She's in the Master's Program at Davis for social work services, and was delighted that I'm going to work for social services there. The house we spoke about is a 4 bedroom, for $895 per month. The 4th bedroom is small, doesn't have a closet, and is really a bonus room, perfect for a home office or playroom. I have a meeting with her at 11am on Saturday, to look at the house and talk. The new carpet will be installed on the 21st, and I'll be able to move in immediately after that if we both agree. Sweet! It's in the wrong school district, but I'm going to try like hell to get an inter-district transfer, if I get them into a before and after school program inside the Jackson district that shouldn't be a problem. The other two houses won't be available until September, they're both 3 bedrooms, one for $895 and one for $795. Anyway, we'll see what happens Saturday.
