TWD should be airing from 9:00-10:30. It would really help to know for sure that the hotel's channel list includes AMC. I don't know if they use Comcast, CenturyLink, or Digital.

My ignorance of handling real-time broadcasts on cable let me show you it. I do all my viewing via DVD's and downloads. Would you be the one to find out about the "need to know" things in your comment?

I'll ask Brynn- she's local, right? I thought we were talking about a regular, normal broadcast on a TV in a hotel room. I don't understand this newfangled streaming concept at all.

Yes and yes. Yes, Brynn is the one to ask, and yes, it is a regular normal broadcast on a TV in the hotel room (my point about my own ignorance being I haven't had any kind of regular TV broadcast signal at home for so many years that I don't have any TV-fu for any real-time broadcast management).

Bad news on the TV front. Brynn checked and said the hotel doesn't get AMC as part of their TV package!

I'll have a better idea of my schedule on Wednesday, but I think dS would be a more pleasant alternative to watch instead. Or maybe taking a nap in a chair or sofa somewhere till my roomie is ready to go.

Do you know your Sunday departure time, or is that what you meant about having a better idea later in the week about your schedule?

I don't know our Sunday departure time yet. At first I thought we'd be leaving Sunday evening, but we have one less person going with us, so that changed, because my roomie wants to stay later and enjoy the con more fully. She'll be taking me to a doctor appt on Wednesday, which may impact the rest of my week slightly. I'll know more after that appt.

Thanks! Things didn't go the way I'd hoped, but the doc said I can go to the con. We'll be getting to Seattle on Friday and do some sightseeing before checking in & registering. I feel better than I expected to, and will have all my meds with me, so everything should be fine. We didn't really talk about when we're leaving Sunday night, but maybe we can talk about it tomorrow morning, before my next appt.

Here's to health concerns not interfering with con attendance! (I had surgery -- minor surgery -- nine days ago, and doctor okayed my travels.)

Thanks! It's definitely going to interfere, to a degree, in that I currently have to take 8 meds, mostly eye drops, a total of 18 times a day. Unless they change that today. No, not exaggerating. What they did yesterday was considered "minor" eye surgery for glaucoma, in that it's non-invasive (laser). But I can see pretty well, and have less pain than when they did same procedure this 7 weeks ago.

Still, I'm kind of re-thinking whether this is the best idea, since the body doesn't seem to know the difference between good stress vs. bad stress. I'll see how I feel Friday morning.
